Lifestyle Tip
What would you do if you knew you couldn't fail?
This question often takes people on a journey of self discovery. One of the wonderful conclusions we come to is that the only failure is not to learn from our life’s lessons.
The lessons, more commonly referred to as failure or mistakes (“not the preferred outcome”), are very precious gifts that life presents as a way of teaching you how you can live to your potential. The lessons remind you that you are human give you valuable opportunities to learn what works and what doesn’t work. They also show ways of how you can make even more of your life creating what you want even more!
Here are some ways to become more aware of what the lessons are and enjoy learning from them?
Where do your “failures” show up?
Increase awareness around how you view your “failures”. This word itself implies a negative outcome. How much easier would it be if you viewed your self as “unsuccessful”? This implies there is still an opportunity to “succeed” if you are willing.
When this happens often …
When you are “unsuccessful” can you notice what the pattern is or your personal belief is around this? The most common belief we hear is “I don’t deserve it!”
What can I learn from this situation?
For example:
-
When I’m sick I need to take care of myself, instead of waiting until I can no longer function properly!
-
If I save a small portion of money every week then I have something to fall back on when things go wrong.
-
If I’m open, honest and 100% myself then there is no such thing as being a failure in relationships.
So next time something goes “wrong” or you have an “accident”, as soon as you can think straight :) take the time to ask yourself … what’s my learning here?
Listen to the first answer that pops into your head – this will be a precious gift.
